Benny Wenda - Wellington Hui

Benny Wenda, spokesperson for the United Liberation Movement for West Papua, is now unable to attend but the talk about the crisis in West Papua will go ahead. Join Moana Jackson, Teresia Teiawa & Pala Molisa in an evening of music, poetry and speech

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, Benny Wenda is unable to tour Aotearoa New Zealand at this time. However, events in Wellington on Thur 25 August 2016 at the Law School and Friday 26 August 2016 at the Walter Nash Centre, Lower Hutt will continue.

Thousands of West Papuan have been arrested for doing just this, meeting peacefully and talking so we will continue these forums for them.

Powerful Pasifika speakers Moana Jackson, Teresia Teaiwa, Pala Molisa and more will gather to speak on West Papua and issues affecting Te Moananui-a-Kiwa. Entitled "Children of Tangaroa - Declarations of Independence" the evening will also encompass poetry and music.

Run It Straight for West Papua - Youth Hui in Lower Hutt will still occur, same time, same place, running it straight the same way for West Papua. A gathering of music, dance, and film run by youth, for youth.

All events are free and open to the public. Please refer to event pages for any further updates.

Thank you for supporting the people of West Papua.
