Introduction to anarchism

A talk about anarchism as a philosophy, as a means of organising society, its relationship with activist politics and as a historical movement at 19 Tory St, Wellington.

Over the centuries, anarchism has been frequently written of as a dead movement, but it always re-emerges and is met with fear, brutal attacks and derision from those in authority. Anarchism starts with the simple premise that people have no right to order other people around and goes from there.

Pretty scary, huh? I’ll talk a little about anarchism as a philosophy, as a means of organising society, its relationship with activist politics and as a historical movement.
