Disrupting the narrative

Disrupting the Narrative is a week-long event incorporating an exhibition of contemporary art, historical material and public talks that seeks to reframe existing narratives about New Zealand’s participation in the First World War.

The purpose of this event is to provide a counternarrative to the official 100-year commemorations of the war and provide people an opportunity to experience the ways in which ideas and conceptsabout war, conflict, resistance and survival can be interpreted in art. We hope you will join us for the week.
