Bring Them Here- Vigil for Manus Island Refugees

3000

Jacinda Ardern promised an empathatic Government- It's time for her to make good on that promise. #BringThemHere

Vigil - Thursday, 2 November, 5pm – 6:30, at parliament

The situation for the 700+ detainees on Manus Island is urgent and desperate. The Australian Government has closed Manus Island detention centre, leaving all refugees with no where to go, and extremely little food and water. Although the detention centre has been a nightmarish experience for all held there, closing the centre leaves these people extremely vulnerable and without any support in a hostile environment where local people have threatened violence against them.

Jacinda Ardern promised an empathatic Government- It's time for her to make good on that promise.

Join us to demand the new Labour/ NzFirst Government do what the Australian Government will not, and take immediate steps to bring these people to New Zealand.

Everyone deserves a place to call home and be safe from violence.
