Peace Flotilla on the Waitematā Harbour

Remember the Peace Flotillas of the 1970s and '80s? People took boogie boards, kayaks, canoes, sail boats - anything that could float to impede the warships. We're doing it again - take to the water to stop the warships touring in November this year.

Over 30 navies, including the US, Russia and China, have been invited to NZ to take part in the "International Naval Review". In response to this extravagant display of warmaking, war resisters will take to the water to show opposition to the foreign warships coming into Auckland's Harbour, and conducting war games in the Hauraki Gulf.

The Peace Flotilla will build on the many years of experience from the nuclear-free Peace Squadron of the 1970s and '80s to oppose these warships.
