New Zealand Disability Strategy
Whakanui Oranga “Making a World of Difference”2001 DLANZ

Before our people can remove their fear and anger towards countries such as Aotearoa NZ. Kia Kaha…Be Strong

The 1975 ‘Original Model of Disability as laid down by Union of Physically Impaired Against Segregation (UPIAS), in which: society itself disable people and does not see disability as ‘pathological’(Oliver 1990) It was done by those with physical impairments, as physically they are the most vulnerable to the excesses of an unjust ideological prejudice of able bodied.
The strategy’s aim is to recognize that Disability stems from attitudinal barriers towards people with impairments and, the disabling effects this has on the “Lived” experiences these people face in their endeavors in leading everyday “normal” lives. As of now, this Treaty / Social Contract must be given equal respect to Treaty of Waitangi conditions. This includes having the 1994 Disability Code of Rights given Crown responsibility at the highest level, and used as the model for inspection and implementation. Also, the 1993 Human Rights Act of discrimination of people with disabilities; to be seen as a Criminal offense like Race and Gender invasions.
Actions:
Until Aotearoa NZ fully commits to this UN Convention, Disabled Liberation – Aotearoa will not release any methodologies of Defiance due to Disability security. It is becoming apparent though that due to these ‘genocidal’ policies; we are near A State of War.
However, below are examples of public announcements, which verify our commitment to International Human Rights, and World Peace
Power to the Workers
Power to the Peoples of the World
Power to the Women
Power to the Peoples of the World
Power to the Maori
Power to the Peoples of the World
POWER TO THE DISABLED
Power for the Children of all Futures
