Australian youth plans for bold campaigns to take on the big coal and gas companies

Climate Justice Bootcamps in Australia will comprise two huge days of training for young people to understand the issue of climate change and learn how to make a difference.

The challenges facing our generation are huge. We face a broken political system, racism, inequality, student debt, and the climate crisis. That’s why it’s so important to create spaces where young people can come together, explore these challenges, and shape our own solutions.

Throughout October, AYCC & Seed are bringing hundreds of passionate young people together at Climate Justice Bootcamps nationwide - to connect them with new skills, inspiration, and each other so they can lead real change in their communities. If you’re under 30, find out more and come along to a bootcamp near you!

And if you’re one of our amazing older supporters, we really need your help to make sure these bootcamps are as accessible and powerful as possible. Can you donate to make sure any passionate young person, no matter who they are, can get a ticket to our huge training weekend?

Climate Justice Bootcamps will be two huge days of training for young people to understand the issue of climate change and learn how to make a difference. There’ll be lobbying workshops, media coaching, guest speakers, doorknock training, leadership sessions and so much more!

I had the pleasure of going along to our first Bootcamp in Adelaide over the weekend - and it was epic! Dozens of young people from diverse backgrounds got together and made plans for bold campaigns to take on the big coal and gas companies in 2018 and beyond! With eight more bootcamps still to come, we need your help to provide catering and scholarship support to young people from all walks of life.

I can chip in

Here’s what your support can do...

$8 can print the training materials for two bootcamp participants to learn new skills. Donate $8 now.
$30 can provide a ticket and catering for one young person to come to bootcamp if they can’t afford it. Donate $30 now.
$50 can cover accomodation for young people from out of town. Donate $50 now.
$100 can provide transport assistance for a young person from a regional area to get to bootcamp. Donate $100 now.

These bootcamps are a launchpad for a year of powerful, unapologetic campaigns to stop Adani, stop fracking, and supercharge renewable energy. It’s so important that we can bring young leaders together right now and make an impact.

Thank you for helping to make it happen.

P.S. Know more awesome young people who might be keen to come to bootcamp? It’d be rad if you could spread the word by sharing our video with them!
