ANTI-VIVISECTION PROTESTS BEGIN

This Sunday afternoon, around 70 people gathered outside the conference venue hosting the ANZCCART conference. The demonstration was held outside Waipuna Hotel on 58 Waipuna Rd, Mt Wellington. A public rally was held with loud noise-making and speeches about the cruel nature of animal testing.

The attendees of the ANZCCART conference are scumbag vivisectors from all over Australasia. This year, they have had their original venue, Ellerslie Events Centre, cancelled in the last minute when the management found out it was a conference about animal testing. But the conference is still going ahead at Waipuna Hotel as prominent vivisectors are booked in the hotel. However, only people who agree with vivisection are allowed to attend the conference. Those holding opposing views, despite paying and registering to go, were barred from attending.
Over 300,000 animals are used in animal testing every year in Aotearoa/New Zealand. 90% of this is for the agricultural industry that profits from the exploitation and death of animals. Stop the torture and murder of animals! Disrupt the ANZCCART conference!

This is just the beginning of the three days of action against vivisection.

Protest schedule for the next two days:
Monday 1st July

7:15am: Wake-up call at 58 Waipuna Rd, Mt Wellington

6:45pm: Protest the conference dinner!
Tuesday 12th July

12noon: Lunchtime protest

They may deny knowing anything but we know for sure the animal abusers are staying there.
