Urewera 17 Community Dinner
Join us for food, music, speakers and music in support of the Urewera 17 arrestees.
On Saturday 15 December, we will be hosting a community dinner in support of the Urewera 17 at St John's Church, corner of Willis and Dixon
Streets (Wellington) starting at 7pm. There will be amazing vegan-friendly food, speakers and films. The cost is $8 unwaged and $12 waged, tickets available on the door.
All proceeds will go to support the arrestees.

Did you know that a lot of those cops who arrested those people eat meat?
Studies have proved that meat not only hurts animals and gives you cancer but it also makes people more agressive.
And look at what beer does to people, makes themn act like lunatics.

probably a combination of growth hormones, pesticides, herbicides, sheep dip, and all those other goodies.
Would be interesting to see the results of a study re organic meat vs processed meat re cancer rates, I'd imagine a decrease in cancer, whereas potential for violence remains the same.
It makes perfect sense to me, if you hunt, you need to be violent to some extent.

Meat-eaters have a higher risk of several cancers, especially bowel cancer. Fact.
Putting dead animal meat in your guts is not entirely beneficial.

Compulsory vegan fare is not "amazing", or even "yummy" as it was previously touted.
It is indeed boring; either fiborous gluggy pap derived from various animal fodders or super expensive meat substitutes. After a dutiful vegan munch you will get a good swift cleanout from it and that's about all.
Mind you theres nothing wrong with dancing girls as long as they are not being used as sex objects.
