If Sue Bradford's anti smacking bill is any indication of extreme invasion of parent's rights, try Bue Sackford’s anti sliding one.
Her bill prohibits any one from wiping their backsides upward, preventing any intention of the wrist to strike from the backside. That leaves the front, which can only permit wiping downward and forwardness. In that position, no one is threatened from any intention of the wrist to strike or smack, or imposed force upon him/herself by turning 90 degrees in the process.
It was much clear and a relief to her followers who totally agreed, and are never looking back.

What a shocking display of organisation. Using resources to promote a demonstration against an entire group based on the actions of a very few. "March Against Police Rape?" Have the men themselves as your target and perhaps gain some credibility. A march based on what you are intending will have you seen as crackpots and idiots and those views would not be far wrong would they?

Three cops happen to be rapists (to put it another way, three rapists happen to be cops). That doesn't make all cops rapists. And I don't exactly love cops, by any stretch of the imagination.

Whether it's three, five, or a hundred and five isn't the point. The point is blaming an entire segment of society for the sins of a few. How many cops are there in the country? Ten thousand? So now they're all rapists, according to some people on this blog. Great. It's always good to see logic and reason prevailing over hysteria and scapegoating.
I'm sure there are plenty of rapists in the police force, as well as wife beaters, child abusers and even murderers. You know why I'm sure? Because there are plenty of rapists, wife beaters et cetera in the general populace, which is where the police are drawn from.
Cops aren't made in a factory; they're people. And just like any group of people, some of them are decent and some of them are not. I've met some great cops and some complete arseholes.
Saying "I hate cops" is about as intelligent as saying "I hate niggers". And making blanket statements about an entire group of people, thus denying the humanity of the individuals that make up that group, is (as anyone with even a very basic knowledge of 20th century history should realise) extremely dangerous.

Not to mention other cases that have not been so widely publicised, where rapist cops have just been "shipped out of the area" while still having a job in the police force.
As for Rickards, he was just plain lucky. Just because he was found "Not guilty" in court, does not make him innocent.
The question also beckons as to why the jury wasn't aloud to know that Shipton & Schollum were currently serving sentences for raping a 19 year old woman back in 1989, but yet the defence was aloud to raise the issue of Louise Nicholas' past complaints of rape? This is a pretty sick idea of a "FAIR TRIAL"

Poeple have lost the point. This march was not against *police* becuase of the three rapists. It is against culture and systems in the police and the government which protect (and now promote in the ranks) rapists, instead of bringing them to justice. The Louise Nicholas case is just one complelling example of this, since it's all been exposed.
