Christchurch activists found guilty of breaching suppression orders
Daniel Rae and Frances Martin were found guilty in the Christchurch District Court today of breaching suppression orders relating to the trial of Clint Rickards, Bob Schollum and Brad Shipton for their brutal pack rape while the three were police officers in Rotorua.
The two, facing a maximum fine of $1000, recieved different amounts - $900 for Rae and $450 for Martin.
Other than their names, verdict and fines, everything else about today's trial was suppressed by the Judge, who called the two defendants "breathtakingly arrogant" for disagreeing with the Court's suppression of details.
The Judge showed where the (in)justice system's true sympathies lie, by fining Rae more than he fined someone he found guilty of indecent assault earlier that same day! Clearly, the Judge felt that a challenge to the legitimacy of the Court's authority was far more serious than the sexual assault of a woman.
Fuck the Courts, Fuck rapist cops, fuck the injustice system.

what the fuck is that last comment suppose to mean and where the fuck do you get off. So the options are stay in Aotearoa and put up with rape, sexual absue and injustice or get on a plane to overseas. Really I can't thing of a more fucked up response. stuff like this makes me want to leave NZ, at the moment its like everyone around me has been the survivors of police violence, it was my neighbour and her young children last week and then outside the courts today a traveller from germany and his dad, who was in court on some charge they didn't understand because some scumbag pigs had seriously bet him up.
NZ police are a pack of bullies and thugs and it's gonna get really crazy when they are running around with tasers.
I want to leave... unfortunately I sure the rest of the world is fucked up too!! arrhhh

stay in new zealand and learn how a district court has no jurisdiction over you, only over your legal fiction....educate yourself with how to deal with their injustice system and you will be no longer subject to their admiralty law

that may be true in wonderland, but here in the real world the courts have a real level of power over you and me because they have the police to enforce their decision making. they will never have power over our souls though so back to reality, the system needs to be smashed, stay and lets get to smashing it.

as a result of these activists work in distributing the flyers, and also as a result of the charges, more and more NZers are becoming aware of whose interests the police are defending. and who they are attacking. each time one of us goes to court to expose these rapists thugs we add to our credibility. it's a long road. kia kaha. please do post the bank account number because it is important the chch activists don't get stranded high and dry.

such bullshit that all the details got suppressed. everyone already knows that the gang trio were raping women all over the show. and that they have already been found guilty of pack rape. sickos.

Dan was fined more because he has a fulltime job (Frances is a student) and thus was judged able to pay a bigger fine.
